CARS
1.RENTAL PERIOD
The minimum rental period is 1 day. To extend the reservation duration, the renter must contact Automax to renew the contract and be informed of the additional fees that will be charged. If the vehicle is returned after the agreed time, there will be additional charges.
2.AGE REQUIREMENTS
Renters must be at least 19 years old and have the New Driver Coverage to rent a vehicle for Categories A,B.
For all other categories, the minimum age to rent is 23 years old.
Under the age of 23 years old, drivers may rent vehicles, at a daily surcharge of 10€ + VAT.
There are no restrictions or surcharges for drivers aged 23 to 75 years. The maximum age to rent a car is 78 years old with a daily surcharge of 10€ + VAT included.
2A. NEW DRIVER COVERAGE
“New Driver Coverage”, enables 19-22 year old drivers to rent Categories A, B vehicles by paying an additional 10€ + VAT per rental day and a 400€ cash deposit,which is refundable upon delivery if there is no damage to the car, providing a valid driving license for at least 12 months. Drivers using New Driver Cover are not covered by Super CDW covers.
3.DRIVING LICENSE & ID REQUIREMENTS
All drivers must provide a valid driving license as well as a valid ID or passport. All drivers must have a valid driving license for at least one year. Drivers who are not EU citizens or whose license is not printed in Latin characters must have an International Driving Permit in addition to their National Driving Permit.
4.PERMITTED KILOMETERS
Free kilometers are provided for rentals in Corfu island.
5.PAYMENT METHODS
For all categories, the renter must present a valid credit/debit card (Mastercard, Visa, PAYPAL) or cash to cover the amounts related to the guarantee and rental costs (for non-prepaid bookings).
6.DEPOSIT
No Deposit is required to secure a booking. A deposit of 100€ is required at the pick-up of the car.
7.TAXES
Our rates are final and include all applicable taxes.
8.TRAFFIC OR OTHER MUNICIPAL FINES
Any fines and administrative penalties incurred as a result of the driver’s negligence are totally borne by the renter. In addition to fines, the customer must pay a non-refundable cost of 100€ + VAT in the event of license plates loss or removal.
9.INSURANCE
All Automax authorized car drivers are safe from rental car fire damage and are covered by third-party liability. Both coverages are subject to the terms of Automax’s contract with its insurance provider.

10.COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW)
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is included in the rental price with a certain excess amount. (700€, 850€, 1,200€, 1,500€, 3,000€, 4,000€ depending on the type of the car)
Drivers must return the vehicle in the same condition that they received it.
11.SUPER COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (SCDW)
The Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) offers the customer the opportunity to reduce the amount for which they are responsible to 100€ and reduces the excess/deductible amount for any damage covered by the insurances. This is subject to the terms and conditions of the Rental Agreement. Any damages not covered by insurance packages are excluded, refer to the terms and conditions.
ATTENTION IN EACH CASE OF DAMAGE THE RENTER MUST INFORM AUTOMAX CAR RENTAL IMMEDIATELY.
IN THE CASE OF NOT NOTIFYING THE OFFICE, THE DAMAGE THAT HAS BEEN DONE WILL NOT BE IDENTIFIED.
12.FORM PICK-UP CAR
The pick-up of the car is accompanied by the pick-up car form.
13.ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT
Child and Booster seats cost 3€ and 2€ per day respectively. GPS is provided at an additional cost of 4€ per day.
14.BIOLOGICAL CLEANING
Vehicles returned with a stained interior that is not cleaned with a normal/common wash, customers will be charged 60€ plus VAT for the biological cleaning of the car.

17.DELIVERY AND COLLECTION
We deliver and collect cars in the area of Corfu International Airport, the city area and the port of Corfu, from 08:30 to 21:00, free of charge. Deliveries and collections after these hours are charged. For pick-up and delivery of a vehicle outside opening hours there is an additional charge of 40€ including VAT, deliveries to all other locations are charged accordingly.
18.FUEL POLICY
Renters must return the vehicle with the same fuel level as at the time of pick-up. If the vehicle is not returned with the same level of fuel, the renter will be charged 15€ as a refueling service and the fuel used. In case the renter returns the car with more fuel, there are no refunds.
19.ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
Free of charge and available 24/7. It is recommended to contact the company directly in the event of required roadside assistance. If the driver drives the vehicle off the official road network and the vehicle is immobilized, the driver will be charged the cost of towing the vehicle from roadside assistance.
20.VEHICLE REPLACEMENT
The driver should contact AutoMax by phone for assistance. If the vehicle has been towed by roadside assistance due to an accident, following violations of traffic laws by the driver, the driver is obliged to cover the costs of repatriating the car to the company’s headquarters from the point where it was immobilized.
21.CANCELLATION POLICY
48 hours before arrival no cancellation fee is required, less than 48 hours a cancellation fee equal to the deposit given at the time of booking/confirmation is required.
22.FERRY TRANSPORTATION
Before picking up the car, the renters must provide written authorization. The price is 75€ including VAT + 0,3€ per Km. Without the company’s written authorization, the vehicle is not insured for any damage or loss while on board.
23.CROSS BORDER RENTALS AND TERRITORIAL RESTRICTIONS
!! Cross Border Rentals are not allowed !! !!
In case of offense against Cross Border and Territorial Restrictions, all protections lose their validity.
24.CAR CATEGORIES AVAILABILITY
The company reserves the right, depending on availability, to provide a different type of car from the one originally booked with a corresponding, or higher class

All issues raised are managed by an experienced team of company employees to ensure swift resolution. We aim to resolve standard queries (not involving damage or insurance-related issues).
By completing the booking and payment process and collecting the car rental keys, you agree to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.
We reserve the right to change/ update our terms and conditions without notice.

Automax has the right to cancel the rental if ascertains that the renter is not capable to drive the rental vehicle for any reason.

In case of difference between the contract parties of this agreement then Corfu Courts have full jurisdiction.
