AUTOMAX CARS
1. RENTAL PERIOD
The minimum rental duration is 1 day. To extend the reservation, the renter must contact Automax to renew the contract and be informed of the additional fees that will be charged. If the vehicle is returned after the agreed time, there will be additional charges.
2. AGE REQUIREMENTS
Renters must be at least 19 years old and have the Young Driver Surcharge (YDS) to rent vehicles in Categories A and B.
The minimum age to rent vehicles in all other categories is 23 years.
Drivers under 23 years old are subject to a daily surcharge of €10.
No restrictions or surcharges apply to drivers aged 23 to 75.
The maximum rental age is 78 years, with a daily surcharge of €10.
2A. YOUNG DRIVER (YDS) RESTRICTIONS
Car Categories: The only car categories available for rental by this specific age group are A, B.
Additional Fee: €10 per day.
Deposit: The amount of the excess will be held as a deposit, which will be refunded upon the return of the vehicle if there is no damage to the car.
Insurances: This specific age group cannot choose the Super or Full insurance. It can choose only CDW.
3. DRIVER’S LICENSE & IDENTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
All drivers must present a valid driving license, along with an official ID or passport. Non-EU citizens or those with licenses not in Latin characters must provide an International Driving Permit in addition to their national license. A minimum of one year of valid driving experience is required.
4. PERMITTED KILOMETERS
Unlimited mileage applies to rentals within Corfu Island.
5. PAYMENT METHODS
For all categories, the renter must present a valid credit/debit card (Mastercard, Visa, PAYPAL) or cash to cover the amounts related to the guarantee and rental costs (for non-prepaid bookings).
6. DEPOSIT
No deposit is required for bookings.
If selecting Super or Full Insurance, no credit card or deposit is required.
CDW selection requires a credit card or a deposit.
7. TAXES
Our rates are final and include all the applicable taxes.
8. TRAFFIC OR OTHER MUNICIPAL FINES
Any fines and administrative penalties incurred as a result of the driver’s negligence are totally borne by the renter. In addition to fines, the customer must pay a non-refundable cost of 100€ + VAT in the event of license plates loss or removal.
9. THIRD PARTY INSURANCE
All authorized drivers are covered by third-party liability insurance.
9A. DAMAGES THAT ARE NOT COVERED BY ANY INSURANCE PACKAGE
Any damages caused by negligence or driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Damages to the car’s lower body – wheels – wheel covers.
Damages to the top and the car’s windows.
Damages caused by off-road driving, driving near rivers or areas with water, or driving with bad weather.
Damages caused intentionally or recklessly by the renter to the clutch or the engine.
Any damages to the car’s interior.
Transporting more passengers than the number of licensed number.
Damages caused by an unregistered driver with a license of less than one year.
Personal item theft.
9B. EXTRA CHARGES THAT ARE NOT COVERED BY ANY INSURANCE PACKAGE
A service charge will apply in the event of assistance or breakdown.
A charge will apply for using the wrong fuel.
Traffic law violation costs are borne by the renter.
GPS loss or damage charges apply.
Towing fees apply for mud/sand/water recovery.
Key loss or damage charges apply.
10. COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW)
CDW is included with excess depending on vehicle type. See Insurance page for details.
Super CDW removes deposit and credit card requirement.
Vehicle must be returned in same condition.
11. SUPER COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (SCDW)
Reduces excess and provides extended coverage.
All damage must be reported immediately.
12. FULL DAMAGE WAIVER (FDW)
Eliminates excess completely.
No deposit required.
13. FORM PICK-UP CAR
Vehicle pick-up includes form completion.
14. ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT
Child and booster seats available.
15. BIOLOGICAL CLEANING
€60 + VAT applies for deep cleaning.
16. RESTRICTIONS
No smoking in vehicles.
No driving in wet swimwear.
17. LUGGAGE POLICY
Renter responsible for luggage fit.
18. DELIVERY AND COLLECTION
Free delivery 08:00–21:00.
Extra charges apply outside hours.
19. FUEL POLICY
Same fuel level required on return.
20. ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
24/7 assistance available.
21. VEHICLE REPLACEMENT
Replacement subject to conditions.
22. CANCELLATION POLICY
Free until 48h before rental.

Written approval required.

Late cancellations charged.

Not allowed under any circumstances. Only Corfu use allowed.

Company may provide equal or higher class scooter.

20. CROSS BORDER RENTALS AND TERRITORIAL RESTRICTIONS
!! Cross Border Rentals are not allowed !! !!
In case of offense against Cross Border and Territorial Restrictions,
all protections lose their validity. The scooters are allowed to be
driven only in Corfu.
21. SCOOTER CATEGORIES AVAILABILITY
The company reserves the right, depending on availability, to
provide a different type of scooter from the one originally booked
with a corresponding, or higher class.

23. JURISDICTION
In case of difference between the contract parties of this agreement
then Corfu Courts have full jurisdiction
By completing the booking and payment process and collecting the car
rental keys, you agree to the terms and conditions of the rental
agreement.
Automax reserves the right to update these terms without prior notice.
